The Spruce Creek IMH is an early season competition based on total times in 6 events – 100 freestyle, 50 butterfly, 50 backstroke, 50 breaststroke, 50 freestyle, 100 IM. Time trials will be conducted during August 2 – August 20. Note that you must swim all 6 events to be eligible for the awards. You do not have to achieve the target time in each event to end up with the total target time for that award. You may be slow in one event but faster in another and able to make up the difference. It is the Total Time that is used to determine your award. The six target levels are designed so that everyone can compete and develop goals.
The Gold, Silver, and Bronze level achievers will receive medals. The Blue, Red, and White level achievers will receive ribbons. The overall lowest total time for girls and for boys who achieve Gold will receive a championship trophy. Although the results will be available shortly after the time trials end, the trophies, medals, and ribbons will be given at the end-of-the-season awards event.
Get ready! The season begins July 26.
